After conversion: what to expect
Why a converted page is not always pixel-identical, and how the plugin makes the last ten per cent quick.

Using the plugin
Reference
Most pages land very close on their own. This page is honest about the part that is not automatic: why a converted page is not always an exact copy, why a little touch-up is normal, and how the plugin makes that touch-up fast rather than frustrating.
Why it isn’t always 100% identical
Elementor and the block editor are two different systems. They store pages differently and they handle layout and styling in different ways. When a page is rebuilt, each Elementor piece is mapped to the closest block and the styling is carried across, but some things can only be approximated, not copied one-to-one.
Where you are most likely to see a small difference:
- Spacing and alignment on dense sections, where Elementor’s margins and padding do not line up exactly with block spacing.
- Widgets with no exact block equivalent, which convert through a safe fallback and may look plainer than the original.
- Builder-only extras such as advanced motion effects or certain pop-ups, which have no block counterpart.
- Global styles (theme-wide colours and fonts set inside Elementor), matched as closely as possible but worth a final check against your theme.
On a simple page you often will not notice anything at all. On a busy, heavily customised page, expect a few small things to adjust. That is normal, and it is not a sign anything went wrong.
Why a short review is worth it
Converting is not the finish line; publishing a page you have actually looked at is. A quick review catches the small differences above before your visitors do, and it is much faster than the days you would spend rebuilding from scratch. Think of it as doing ninety per cent of the work and handing you a clear list for the last ten.
How it makes the edits easy
A report, not a guessing game
The Conversion Log lists every element and how it converted: cleanly, through a fallback, or empty. You go straight to the few items that need attention.
Everything is a normal block
The result is standard WordPress content, not a locked builder format. Same editor, same controls, no special mode and no shortcodes to wrangle.
AI can do the tidying
For pages you want to match closely, an AI Enhancement pass compares the original and the converted page and adjusts the layout for you.
Your original is still there
The Elementor page is untouched, so you can keep it open in another tab and compare as you go. There is never any risk while you tidy.
A realistic workflow
- Convert the page in the Conversion Wizard.
- Open the Conversion Log and note anything flagged.
- Compare the converted page with the original, side by side.
- Fix small things directly in the block editor.
- For a closer match on a complex page, run an AI Enhancement pass.
- Publish once you are happy.
Most pages move through this in minutes. That is the whole point: not “no work”, but far less of it, and none of the tedious rebuilding.
