Conversion
Check that the page was actually built with Elementor, since that is all the wizard lists. Make sure your account has the edit_pages capability (Editors and Administrators do). Reopening the Conversion Wizard refreshes the list.
Open the Conversion Log and look for “unsupported” or “empty” rows, then rebuild those elements in the editor. Also check that the section content width in Settings matches your Elementor design. For layouts that are close but not exact, an AI Enhancement pass usually helps.
Set the section content width in Settings to match your Elementor design (1140, 1200, or 1024 are common), then convert again.
Some fonts are pulled from the original design through Google Fonts, so make sure your site allows those requests. Minor differences in spacing or type between Elementor and the block editor are normal; tidy them in the editor or with an AI pass.
Cancel it from the wizard and start again. If jobs stall regularly, check your server’s PHP memory limit and maximum execution time, and try fewer pages at a time.
AI Enhancement
Before each pass, the plugin checks that the page can actually be reached, and it stops with a specific reason rather than a vague error. Here is what each message means and how to clear it.
The page is still a draft or pending. Publish it, then run the pass again.
Remove the page password (in the editor, under Visibility). A password-protected page cannot be loaded by the screenshot service.
Something is showing a maintenance or coming-soon screen to visitors (a .maintenance file, the WP_MAINTENANCE_MODE setting, or a coming-soon plugin). The service only sees that screen, so turn it off while you run the pass.
You are on a local or private address, such as localhost, 127.0.0.1, a private IP like 192.168.x.x, or a domain ending in .local or .test — a typical XAMPP or local dev setup. An outside service cannot open those. Run AI Enhancement on a live or staging site with a public URL.
A logged-out visitor cannot open the page: it may be behind a login, HTTP (basic) authentication, or throwing an error. Open the page in a private browser window while logged out and fix whatever stops it loading.
Add your Anthropic key on the Settings page and save. The conversion still works without it.
Check that your Anthropic API key is saved in Settings and your account has credit, that your server can make outbound HTTPS requests to Anthropic and the screenshot service (ask your host if a firewall blocks outgoing connections), and that your site’s HTTPS certificate is valid — a broken or self-signed certificate can trip the checks.
General
Check that the plugin is activated under Plugins. The screens need the right capabilities: manage_options for Settings, edit_pages for the wizard.
Deactivate other migration or optimisation plugins for a moment to see if one of them is the cause, and do your testing on a staging site. Keep a backup before large conversions.
Use the feedback option in the Conversion Wizard (opt-in) or the WordPress.org support forum. Mentioning your WordPress and PHP versions, plus which widget gave trouble, helps a lot.
